Featured Advent Story of the week: This week's story comes from Dani, who shares her experience of her family's search for a place they could truly call home.Dani's Advent Story Discipleship In Action Discipleship shows up in many different forms. Sometimes it is a smile and a hug, sometimes it is caring and reaching out when you know someone who is ill. It's hard (maybe impossible!) not to smile when Rudy greets you on Sunday morning with an enthusiastic warm hug, and "Aloha, peace be with you!" This episode of DIA shares some of Dij and Rudy's story of discipleship through compassionate care: both in times when they were serving, and in times when someone helped serve them.Dij and Rudy's Discipleship In Action Story This week’s Worship Livestreams:Contemporary Worship: September 27 @ 9amTraditional Worship: September 27 @ 11amLast week's Sermon Food Pantry Report:Food Pantry Report Print Newsletters:Click here to download the Weekly MessengerClick here to download the Monthly Advocate Online Giving: Your generosity makes ministry possible. Food Pantry: As we close this week, we're struck by a familiar scene: a crowd, a shortage, and disciples ready to send people away hungry. But Jesus doesn't send them away — he takes what little is offered, blesses it, and it becomes more than enough. That's the pattern we see in our own community week after week: a handful of volunteers, a stocked shelf, a few hours given — and somehow it's always enough for the families who walk through our doors. A special note of thanks to our friends at Suntree United Methodist Church for their ongoing support of our pantry and for sharing so generously from their own bounty. And to you — thank you for continuing to bring your loaves and fishes. Together, God keeps multiplying them. "They need not go away; you give them something to eat." — Matthew 14:16Weekly Food Pantry Report Announcements: Backpack Blessing 🎒 Next weekend (August 8 and 9) during worship we will be celebrating students going back to school.
