“Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.” - Luke 6:38 (ESV)

As you’ve probably heard by now, “It Will Be Given To You” is the theme of our fall Stewardship Appeal.

Over the past several weeks, we have shared information about the three stewardship initiatives for 2027:

  1. Fully staffing the office
  2. Growing external outreach through media/marketing
  3. Initiating Stephen Ministry at Advent.

This week, you will be receiving a packet in the mail, which will include a letter, a brochure, and an intent card.

During Commitment weekend (October 31 and November 1) we will present our Statements of Intent together during worship. If you are unable to come in person, they can also be mailed to the office or filled out online. (If you would like a link to the digital intent card, please check the Weekly Messenger or contact Pastor Alisha).

This year’s appeal is a little bit different than previous years. If you’d like a detailed rundown of the rest of the process, or are curious about the contents of your packet, read on!

This year the stewardship team is working with a program called Stewardship for All Seasons. Part of this process includes mailing you a letter this week with your intent card and a brochure with more detailed information about each of our three initiatives.

Here’s what’s different this year: your letter will be specially tailored to YOU. This means it will include a specific request to increase your giving by a range amount that's less than a cup of coffee or two each week.

We want to assure you: your giving data is NOT public, and will only be seen by you and by the person who handles the incoming finances. The stewardship team, council, and pastors are not told what your giving levels are, nor will we be looking at your intent cards. They will only be read by the finance person, and the total amount of giving will be reported to the team so that we can share that information with all of you and celebrate the incredible generosity of this congregation!

Please be in prayer about what God is calling you to give. Reflect on the blessings God has given you. Dream about possibilities for our shared mission and ministry. Discern your response to this invitation as the Spirit leads you. Be assured that your offering—whatever you give—will be a valuable part of the work we do together.

Thank you for your generosity and your devotion to the work God is doing in and through Advent.

You are a blessing and we are grateful for you!

Introduction
“Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.” - Luke 6:38 (ESV) Welcome! The stewardship team has been hard at work and has spent the past few months prayerfully considering where God is leading Advent in 2027. We are excited to share more information about this year’s stewardship appeal, “It Will Be Given To You.” As followers of Jesus, we are covered by grace, called in baptism, grounded in faith, and sent to serve. The Holy Spirit gathers us into a caring community where people grow in faith, use their gifts, and serve their neighbors. Our grateful response to this gift of life in Jesus Christ is to give our best to extend God's Kingdom. “It Will Be Given To You” is the theme of our fall Stewardship Appeal. We acknowledge there are always reasons to worry there might not be enough. But as people of faith we plan, prepare, and trust in the abundance of a generous God in all things. As Jesus tells us: “Give, and it will be given to you.” We can give joyfully, trusting that God will always provide us with more than enough for all. Thanks to your generosity, Advent’s shared life has new energy; we are ready to build on this new energy with three exciting initiatives: Fully staffing the office Growing external outreach through media/marketing Initiating Stephen Ministry at Advent. In the coming weeks, newsletter articles, bulletin inserts, temple talks, letters, and a brochure will share the vision of our congregation's mission plans for this coming year. So be sure to subscribe to this collection if you want to stay up-to-date! Thank you for being part of this exciting congregation we so dearly love. Please continue to pray for our common work together as we reach out with the Good News of Jesus – into the Suntree area, Brevard County, and beyond.
