October events were a blast! Thank you to everyone who came and made the fun possible.

On the 1st weekend, we had a great time with Prayer-Aoke, singing hymns in a 3-part harmony at times. I got goosebumps a few times while we sang, and it almost made me cry (in the good way!) Thank you to Reese, who took this cute photo of our little jam session 😁

Then this past weekend, we had Spooky Trivia. This was a nice challenge for me, I enjoyed gathering trivia and making up the other fake options for the multiple choice. Plus, I learned some fun facts along the way. I hope everyone who attended did too!

November Events for Gather Space Coast
Friday, November 6: Gratitude Cards 🙏 Expressing gratitude can make a big impact. Sometimes it is hard to find time to set aside to write a good old-fashioned thank you note, but it can mean the world to someone. Come on over to Advent’s fellowship hall at 6:30pm on the 6th of November, and I will have some paper crafting supplies/pre-made cards available. You can also bring your own crafting supplies! We will gather for this informal time to chat, create, and share gratitude together. Friday, November 20: Friends-Giving 🦃 This is an exciting time for us to gather for a meal together, celebrating Thanksgiving just a little early. I will provide the turkey and drinks (guess I need to learn how to do that!) but please bring a side dish to share. We will meet in Advent’s Fellowship Hall at 6:30pm. For this event. PLEASE fill out the RSVP form so I know about how many people are coming and what food will be available. Click hereto RSVP. Monday, November 23: United in Thanksgiving 🤲 This is not exclusively a “Gather Space Coast” event, but an inter-faith celebration on Advent’s campus beginning at 7pm, hosted by InterFaith United.

October Events for Gather Space Coast
The month of October is another busy one, but we will keep to our regular schedule this month of meeting on the 1st and 3rd Friday. I am really looking forward to hosting these events, and hope to see you there! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. Friday, October 16: Spooky Trivia! 👻🎃 Do YOU have what it takes to be named Trivia Champion? Bring your friends or come on your own and come test your skills at this FREE Spooky-themed trivia night on October 16! Click herefor more information. Saturday, October 17: Oktoberfest! 🍻🎉 This is not exclusively a “Gather Space Coast” event, but an inter-generational celebration on Advent’s campus, sponsored by the men’s ministry. Welcome to Gather: Space Coast!
Hello There! 👋 My name is Pastor Alisha, I’m one of the pastors at Advent and the current leader of Gather Space Coast. I have been searching for community among my peers for a while, longing for a space where we could connect and have fun together. And then, I heard about Gather, and I knew it would be a great opportunity for us in the Space Coast region. Gather meets to spend time asking challenging questions of ourselves, our faith, and our world. All young adults (18-35) from across race, faith background, gender, sexuality, and perspective are welcome here to meet, to be, to gather. We are still a very young, very new ministry. But the hope is to grow into it and continue to invite young adults to participate as much as possible. I really look forward to making some new friends! Our general rhythm will be to meet on the 1st Friday of the month for a worship service or spiritual connection activity, and the 3rd Friday of the month for game night or trivia.
